The Indian Harbor Volunteer Fire Department was established in 1972 and is comprised of friends and neighbors who are committed to making a difference in their community.

The Indian Harbor Volunteer Fire Department (IHVFD) is committed to creating safer communities through preventive, preparedness and effective emergency response.

IHVFD will provide high quality first responder and fire rescue service as part of an integrated emergency system.

IHVFD will deliver comprehensive safety services of the highest quality.

Volunteer to Serve

Volunteer firefighters are required to have a minimum of a Texas Commission on Fire Protection Basic Firefighter certification and a Texas DSHS EMT-B certification to be an active volunteer.
